Plan beyond the school certificate

Compare the course

Look at course content, prerequisites and the learning experience.

Understand entry

Check how your Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) pathway relates to admission requirements. Course eligibility and selection are decided by the receiving institution.

Organise next steps

Keep institution-specific document and deadline checklists. Check the official application route for each course you shortlist.

Your education system, in brief

Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA)

The QCE recognises eligible senior learning that meets Queensland’s completion requirements. QCAA syllabuses guide senior subjects. General subjects use internal and external assessment, while assessment arrangements differ for Applied subjects and other pathways. An ATAR and the QCE are different outcomes.

Questions families ask

Does tutoring replace my school program?

No. Learning support works alongside school. Your school and education authority set assessment and qualification requirements.

How do we choose the right support?

Share the year level, exact subject or test, and what feels difficult. We discuss a suitable starting point and confirm tutor availability before a commitment.

A starting point that fits

Choose a program and share the learner’s stage and goals. We discuss the learning focus, suitable tutor availability and the next step before you commit.

2027 admissions cycle

The 2027 cycle uses institution-specific application, document and offer dates. Some courses have fixed or early closing dates.

Selection considerations

QCE/ATAR or other recognised qualifications, English and subject prerequisites, selection threshold, adjustment schemes and course-specific requirements.

Application details

  • Correct applicant category and application route
  • Course codes and preference order
  • Academic records and supporting evidence
  • Adjustment, equity or pathway applications

Extra selection tasks

Some courses require a portfolio, audition, interview, questionnaire, test or written statement. These are course-specific—not universal.

Dates safeguard: Do not rely on a general closing date alone. Individual courses can close earlier, cap places or set separate evidence deadlines. Always confirm the live course listing and institution page.
